PENINGKATAN KOMPETENSI GURU GEOGRAFI DALAM PEMANFATAAN SISTEM INFORMASI GEOGRAFIS BERBASIS OPEN SOURCE

Abstract

one of the competence of teachers is professional competence, where a teacher must be able to master the material / field of study that is taught and able to develop creativity related teaching materials, one development that can be done by an educator is a geographic information system. The purpose of this research is to train geography teachers in the use of open source GIS software. The method used is the method of training, mentoring and evaluation The results obtained show that 80% of geography teachers in Donggala District and 60% of geography teachers in Sigi District, after training can operate GIS quantum and can design a map.
