CHRONIC KIDNEY FAILURE STAGE V EC POLICYSTIC KIDNEY DISEASE
Abstract
ABSTRACT
Introduction: Polycystic kidney disease (PKD) is a hereditary disease in which multiple cysts of various sizes can cause kidney enlargement and progressive kidney damage as a result of compression of nephrons by cysts that can cause localized intrarenal obstruction. Case: Patients enter hospital with complaints of upper right abdominal pain that has been experienced since ± 1 month ago. Pain that is felt continuously like being crushed and pierced. The patient also complains of pain in the lower left abdomen along with pain in the right upper abdomen. Conclusion: Polycystic kidney disease (PKD) is characterized by multiple cysts, bilateral and expanding which gradually disrupts and destroys the normal renal parenchyma due to suppression which can result in chronic renal failure.

ABSTRAK
Pendahulan : Penyakit ginjal polikistik (PKD) adalah penyakit herediter dimana terdapat kista yang multipel dengan berbagai ukuran yang dapat menyebabkan pembesaran ginjal dan kerusakan ginjal yang progresif sebagai akibat dari kompresi nefron oleh kista yang dapat menyebabkan obstruksi intrarenal yang terlokalisir. Kasus : Pasien masuk RS dengan keluhan nyeri perut kanan atas yang sudah dialami sejak ± 1 bulan yang lalu. Nyeri yang dirasakan terus-menerus seperti tertindih dan ditusuk-tusuk. Pasien juga mengeluhkan nyeri pada perut kiri bawah bersamaan dengan rasa nyeri pada perut kanan atas. Kesimpulan : Penyakit ginjal polikistik (PKD) ditandai dengan kista multipel, bilateral dan berekspansi yang lambat laun mengganggu dan mengahancurkan parenkim ginjal normal akibat penekanan yang bias mengakibatkan terjadinya gagal ginjal kronik.
