BENIGN PROSTATIC HYPERPLASIA (BPH)
Abstract
Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) is a disease that often causes problems in men. BPH has the characteristics of hyperplasia of the prostate stroma and epithelium. Histological prevalence of BPH increased from 20% of men aged 41-50 years, 50% in men aged 51-60 years, to more than 90% in men aged> 80 years. BPH causes clinical manifestations such as LUTS, hypertrophy, and distention of the bladder due to urinary retention, nocturia and dysuria. In this case, a 67-year-old man admitted to hospital with complaints of stifling micturition for 7 months, not satisfied when BAK, takes a long time to start micturition, urine seeps, nocturia> 3 times, bloody bowel is denied, lump in thigh fold is denied . The results of the ultrasound and Rectal Toucher examination of the patient are diagnosed with BPH Grade 3. Management of this case is carried out by prostatectomy.
