GIANT CONGENITAL NEVOMELANOCYTIC NEVUS” PADA ANAK USIA 9 TAHUN
Abstract
Giant congenital nevomelanocytic nevus (GCNMN) is a special group of melanocytic lesions that generally cover large areas of the body. Very large or giant CNMN (GCNMN) is a very rare case. Based on the epidemiology of GCNMN it occurs in 1: 500,000 newborns. This case report shows a 9-year-old girl diagnosed with giant congenital nevomelanocytic nevus (GCNMN). In dermatological physical examination, the skin abnormality is found in the form of hyperpigmented macules with skuama that are generalized spread in almost all parts of the body. GCNMN treatment depends on the risk of melanoma plus cosmetic and functional considerations. Management in this case is only in the form of supportive therapy because of the very wide GCNMN lesions and almost no normal skin is obtained and it is advisable to control to detect early signs of melanoma.
