RHINOSINUSITIS DENGAN POLIP NASI
Abstract
Pendahuluan: Rinosinusitis kronik (RK) didefinisikan sebagai peradangan yang terjadi pada mukosa cavum nasi dan sinus paranasalis.
Kasus: Seorang laki-laki umur 14 tahun datang ke poliklinik THT-KL RSUD Undata dengan keluhan hidung tersumbat. Keluhan dialami sejak 1 tahun yang lalu dan mengalami pemberatan 1 bulan terakhir. Pasien juga mengeluhkan adanya pengeluaran cairan bening tak berbau, penurunan penciuman, nyeri kepala dan wajah yang hilang timbul, serta riwayat bersin-bersin dan hidung tersumbat jika terpapar debu. Dari pemeriksaan rinoskopi anterior terlihat massa pada kedua kavum nasi berwarna putih pucat, mengkilat, licin, mudah digerakkan, bertangkai dan tidak menyebabkan nyeri jika disentuh. Pasien ditatalaksana dengan pemberian kortikosteroid dan direncanakanan untuk tindakan operatif.
Kesimpulan: Inflamasi kronik yang terdapat pada cavum nasi merupakan faktor pencetus yang berpotensi menimbulkan polip nasi. Penanganan sedini mungkin terhadap inflamasi yang terjadi pada cavum nasi dapat mencegah terjadinya polip nasi
