TB MILIARY DISEASE ON NASOFARING CARSINOMA CASE
Abstract
Tuberculosis (TB) is a chronic lung disease caused by infection of Mycobacterium Tuberculosis. A 68-year-old male patient was admitted with a complaint of a lump in the neck that was felt 1 year ago. First, patient was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal carcinoma. However, during the treatment, the patient having complaint of coughing, so the chest X-ray was examined, and the result shows that the patient were TB Miliary, in fact. Those bacteria can be dormant in the host's body, and will be reactivated under certain conditions, one of which is a decrease in the immune system caused by a malignancy.
