HASIL PEMBANGUNAN KESEHATAN DI SULAWESI TENGAH DILIHAT DARI ANGKA KEMATIAN DAN ANGKA HARAPAN HIDUP

Abstract

The increase of health resources such as, facilities, health labors, and the cost had produced the development and the health level of Central Sulawesi society. To measure the success of health development until the year of 2008, in Central Sulawesi within many programs, we can see from the indicators, they are infant mortality rate (IMR), child mortality rate (CMR) and the number of life expectation. The result of the research showed that has happened the decrease of IMR and CMR and the increase number of the life expectation in Central Sulawesi. The infant mortality rate has decreased from 150 out of 1000 in 1971 became 66 out of 1000 in 2000 and 60 out of 1000 in 2007, as well, with the child mortality rate, that has decreased from 225 out of 1000 in 1971 became 76 out of 1000 in 2000 and 69 out of 1000 in 2007 or it has decreased 69.33 % from 1971 to 2007. While the number of life expectation kept growing from 45.0 in 1971 became 55.4 in 1990 became 61,0 in 2000 and 63.3 in 2007. From the research we found also that the number of female life expectation is higher than the number of male life expectation.
