IMUNOPROFILAKSIS DAN IMUNOTERAPI BAKTERI STAPHYLOCOCCUS AUREUS

Abstract


Staphylococcus aureus adalah salah satu bakteri penyebab utama infeksi yang mengancam jiwa, khususnya strain MRSA yang resisten terhadap antibiotik tertentu. Strain MRSA terkait dengan komunitas dan kemudian menyebar berkelanjutan dalam populasi. MRSA secara rata-rata menyebabkan lebih banyak kematian setiap tahun daripada AIDS, menjadikan MRSA salah satu masalah terpenting bagi sistem kesehatan masyarakat. Situasi sulit ini diperparah oleh kenyataan kurangnya keberhasilan dalam penemuan antibiotik baru. Karena itu, eksplorasi potensi imunoprofilaksis dan imunoterapeutik antistaphylococcal saat ini merupakan prioritas dan salah satu alternatif paling menjanjikan untuk mengatasi tantangan ini.
