PENGARUH BERBAGAI JENIS PUPUK ORGANIK TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN SEMAI SENGON LAUT (Paraserianthes falcataria (L.) Nielsen) PADA TANAH ULTISOL DI POLYBAG

Abstract


Ultisol soil as the main medium in this study has the problem of low soil acidity and high aluminum toxicity. The way to overcome this problem is by adding organic matter. The leaves of lamtoro, gamal, and paitan have the potential to be used as a source of organic fertilizer. However, there are not many studies related to the application of the three leaves as organic fertilizer. This study aims to determine the effect of various types of organic fertilizers on the growth of sengon seedlings on growing media using ultisol soil. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of four treatments, namely: P1=soil without organic fertilizer (control) P2=ultisol soil 1.5 kg+gamal leaf fertilizer 50 g, P3=ultisol soil 1.5 kg+fertilizer lamtoro taramba leaves 50 g, P4 = 1.5 kg ultisol soil + paitan leaf fertilizer 50 g. Each of the four treatments was repeated 9 times so that the total number of experimental units was (36) seedlings. Observation parameters were increase in height, diameter, and number of leaves. Observational data were analyzed using analysis of variance according to RAL, with the Least Significant Difference (BNT) test at a 5% significance level. Based on the results of the follow-up test, the Smallest Significant Difference (BNT) of 5% showed that the average height, diameter and number of leaves of sengon seedlings in treatment P2 were significantly different from treatments P3, P4, and P1. The treatment that gave the best effect on the growth of sengon seedlings was P2 treatment (ultisol soil 1.5 kg + Gamal leaf organic fertilizer 50 grams/seedling), on all parameters with an average increase in height = 5.94 cm, an increase in diameter of P2 = 0.52 mm, the increase in the number of leaves = 1.56 strands
