PENGARUH KOMPOS DAUN GAMAL (Gliricidia maculata Hbr) TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN SEMAI EBONI (Diospyros celebica Bakh)

Abstract

Eboni (Diospyros celebeica Bakh) is a tree that produces a very good quality of wood that can last longer than other woods and  has a high selling price . Ebony wood is also good as a high-class furniture base in its class. Compost is one of the alternatives to help producing good seedlings and as a suitable media for seedling growth that produce healthy seedlings with optimal growth. The problem is how does the influence of gamal leaf compost (Gliricidia maculate Hbr) on the growing media against the growth of ebony seedlings. This study aims to determine the effect of gamal leaf compost (Gliricidia maculata Hbr) on the growth of ebony seedlings (Diospyros celebica Bakh). Analysis of data in accordance with the design used is design (CDR a complete randomized) using the mathematical model formula, as follows : Y_ij = µ +a_i + E_ij. research was conducted for four months from January 2019 until April 2019, located in the permanent nursery of BPDAS Palu-Poso, Tadulako University, Palu. The results of giving gamal leaf compost on growing media have a very significant effect on the parameters of high and robustness of seedlings, but have no significant effect on the parameters of diameter and number of leaves. From treatment G1 (1: 1) gives very real growth to seedling height and robustness of the seedlings while the number of leaves and diameter does not have a significant effect
