MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA DALAM PELAJARAN IPA DENGAN METODE DEMONSTRASI BERBANTU MEDIA GAMBAR PADA KELAS IV SDN LOMPIO

Abstract

This study is an action research aimed to find out the yield improvement of learning outcomes Elementary School fourth grade studens SDN Lompio demonstration using media -assisted image. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students of SDN Lompio totaling 20 people. Study was conducted in two cycles, and each cycle consists of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results of the implementation of the action research through the test cycle I and cycle II. Based on the results of the test cycle I and cycle II shows the increase of learning outcomes. in the first cycle, the number of students who take exams 20 people found 8 people total and 12 people who did not complete, classical completeness by 40 %. The results of evaluation tests students in the second cycle by the number of students who take exams 20 people, there are 17 people who completed and those who did not complete 3 with classical completeness 85 % that of the first cycle to the second cycle classical completeness increased by 45 %. The results of the first cycle of observation of students by 50 % and the observation of the second cycle by 78 % and the observation of the teacher first cycle of 58.33 % while the teacher observation cycle II of 76.7 %. based indicators of success in this study, it can be said that the use of media -assisted image demonstration method can improve student learning outcomes in science lessons Lompio SDN.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SDN Lompio dengan menggunakan metode demonstrasi berbantuan media gambar. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Lompio yang berjumlah 20 orang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dan setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil pelaksanaan penelitian tindakan kelas melalui tes siklus I dan siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil tes siklus I dan siklus II menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar. Pada siklus I, dengan jumlah siswa 20 orang yang mengikuti ujian terdapat 8 orang yang tuntas dan 12 orang yang tidak tuntas. Ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 40%. Hasil tes evaluasi siswa pada siklus II dengan jumlah siswa 20 orang yang mengikuti ujian, terdapat 17 orang yang tuntas dan 3 orang yang tidak tuntas dengan ketuntasan klasikal 85% sehingga dari siklus I ke siklus II terjadi peningkatan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 45%. Hasil observasi siswa siklus I sebesar 50% dan hasil observasi siklus II sebesar 78% dan hasil observasi guru siklus I sebesar 58,33% sedangkan hasil observasi guru siklus II sebesar 76,7%. Berdasarkan indikator keberhasilan dalam penelitian ini, dapat dikatakan bahwa penggunaan metode demonstrasi berbantuan media gambar dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SDN Lompio dalam pelajaran IPA.
