Pengaruh Medan Magnet Extremely Low Frequency Terhadap Biomassa Tanaman Edamame

Abstract


This study aims to examine the effect of Extremely Low Frequency magnetic fields on edamame plant biomass. This research was a laboratory experimental study with a randomized subjects posttest only control group design. The samples in this research were 100 samples of edamame soybean seeds consisting of 20 samples from the control group and 80 samples from the experimental group. The control group was the group that was not exposed to Extremely Low Frequency magnetic fields, while the experimental group was the group that was exposed to the Extremely Low Frequency magnetic fields of 200 µT and 300 µT with variations in exposure time of 60 minutes and 120 minutes. This study produced the average biomass of edamame in the experimental group with an intensity of 300 µT for 120 minutes greater than the control group. Data analysis using the Mann-Whitney Test resulted in a significance value of edamame plant biomass less than 0.05, which was 0.000. Based on this analysis, it can be concluded that the Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) magnetic field has a significant effect on edamame plant biomass.
